Late at night I like to contemplate, with a single malt or two, that the times we live in are times that have come to pass and will come full circle again. Empires rise and fall. People rise and fall but spirit, nature and the universe lives on.
The similarities to what Socrates wrote are paralleled with our current paradigm. I learnt that it costs nothing to be nice and manners cost nothing but it seems that in this age, chivalry, honour, kindness and humility are characteristics of a by gone age. What will rise will fall and what will fall will rise again, the eternal struggle.
